“Thrive Amidst Chaos”

Using street art to bring local students together with members of the skate park community for a youth drop-in hub at the Moore Park Skate Bowl, Queanbeyan NSW.

Scope: Youth street art workshop working various age groups from with three different local schools, along side members of the public and members of the council to create this four sided shipping container mural artwork featuring the community-led designs: “Thrive Amidst Chaos'“, “2620” (the local postcode, and an important symbol for the local graff community), and the platypus which held significance to the local community.
Timeline: Delivered in 2 days on site + one day design workshop with local youth on-site at a prior date.

: Artwork design and workshop facilitation by BOHIE with assistance from Mimi Fairall and QPRC project coordinator Cristina de Jongh. Youth assistance provided by students from Clontarf Aboriginal Boys Academy, Karabar High School and outside of school. This project was supported by Headspace.
